Alex Pablo's World Literature 2020-21

 My first impression of the man is that he is polite even though he has been in prison. This other man makes him seem as if he is a very terrible man but when they tell him to leave he left instead of making a big deal out of it. It shows that even though he has been in prison and possibly did a bad thing in his past it shows that he has changed since that.

 In my opinion, I think first impressions are very important because it shows the people your meeting the way you behave and if your a good or bad person throw their eyes. I think a good key to making a good impression is to be yourself if someone doesn't like you well that's on them. 

In this chapter, it talks about how in other jobs they have people to help or be like support. For example, the generals have young officers, and how the bishop has a full squadron of abbes. it also talks about how monseigneur Bienvenu, poor, humble, retiring, was not accounted among the big miters. This is a plain from the complete absence of young priests about him. The author also said something about the constellation of stars of the abyss which are made in the soft mire of the puddle by the feet of ducks. To be honest I'm confused with this chapter when I was reading it didn't really make sense.

 when read9ing rhis chaper I came across a sentence that really caught my attention. This sentence was  It must be admitted, that even in the political views with which we have just reproached him, and which we are disposed to judge almost with severity, he was tolerant and easy, more so, perhaps, than we who are speaking here.  This really caught my attention because our teachers were asking about what we think about the political stuff that was going on. As I said in class I honestly don't really care who wins because I don't really know about it and I just want to find a way to make my life better with whoever wins and whatever happens but I also know that other people do not think like me and that this days and this political stuff is very important for them and their families.

 It is crazy how 2 people with different lifestyles can really end up understanding each other. The man that was talking to the bishop before he passed has hidden reasons to do what he had to do and the bishop started understanding the man to where he wanted his blessing before he passed. One thing that really caught my attention was when he said something about things getting destroyed but the stuff that gets destroyed also has to get rebuilt and also get rebuilt stronger.
